Our Story: From the Founder

Mountain Mermaid began as a smoothie trailer in 2023, created to bring quick, healthy food to residents and visitors. Having just moved to the area, the food trailer became a way for me to connect with the community and share my love for simple, small-town living in the mountains.

As I settled in, I noticed a need: locally grown food is underutilized. I want to create a way to make fresh, seasonal, and nutritious food more accessible—helping local families and farmers.

In May 2025, we rebranded as Mountain Mermaid, realigning the business with values centered on supporting local growers, sustainable food systems, and healthy lifestyles. This has marked the beginning of a bigger vision—building connection and community through food.

This fall, Mountain Mermaid is expanding beyond the trailer, beginning with meal kits and aiming toward a broader vision of revitalizing local food systems and strengthening our communities through education and infrastructure.
